Our family decided to have day out together on Saturday. We started with breakfast, then shopped a little. Our plan was to go to the movies and then head home. While my husband looked through one of his favorite outdoor and sporting goods stores, my kids and I decided to go next door to look at the pets at Pet Smart. Well, huge mistake that was! It was adoption day, and both of my children have been begging for a pet for… Read more »

While staying at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, we had an amazing view of Magic Kingdom, as well as the newest Bora Bora Bungalows that were added along the beach and over the water at the resort. You can see my review our our Deluxe Studio Villa here. While we didn’t have nearly enough Disney Vacation Club points (or dollars) to stay in the bungalows, I was able to take a tour of one. These tours are offered daily at various times…. Read more »

I woke up this morning and did the usual routine. Coffee first, kids second (Not in order of importance! Just the routine!) and attempted to get presentable to take my son to school. Pajamas and bed hair aren’t really my style in public, so I try to fix what I can. The children slowly dressed and as we kicked it into high gear to get out of the door, we chanted the usual “We’re late! We’re late! For a very… Read more »

It is no secret that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is undergoing a major overhaul. I have recently noticed many people questioning whether they should skip a visit to this particular park until the new Star Wars and Toy Story lands are completed. And while I will miss the closed attractions (see my article on saying goodbye here), I am still a huge fan of Hollywood Studios. So, should you still consider using a day of your Walt Disney World vacation at Hollywood… Read more »

Our family enjoys Epcot and all it has to offer. Typically, I have our days scheduled to the minute. We try to squeeze everything in. However, on our last trip to Walt Disney World, we did plan our morning at Epcot but left the evening free. No plans, no schedule. And I must admit, we loved it! We started our morning with a pre-park opening breakfast at Akershus. Following our meal, which was a fun and delicious way to start… Read more »

Lately, my son has been losing teeth as frequently as he loses his important school papers, sports equipment and the match to his sock. This means a visit from the Tooth Fairy is in order, over and over. After he lost his first tooth, we had to decide which Tooth Fairy (because there are two here at our home) would actually visit his room. And since that first night, there has been a clear choice.     Tooth Fairy #1 is… Read more »

Today, I read a lot of words- my Bible, news articles, my book of the week, Facebook posts, the schedule for my son’s Field Day at school, a handful of emails, a recipe, a few children’s books. Words are everywhere, consuming hours of the day, guiding, instructing, informing, inspiring, igniting, and hurting.   Within my day, I saw so many words. Some  were written with the smooth ease of hope, others firm with facts, and some ripped straight through my… Read more »

Our family absolutely loves Star Wars. The upcoming additions to the Disney parks have expanded our excitement levels to galaxies far, far away, and we were thrilled to check out the new Star Wars Launch Bay area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on our last visit. The area did not disappoint. Upon entering Hollywood Studios, we headed straight for the Launch Bay. As we approached the entrance, several Storm Troopers were patroling the premises. This built up the excitement even more,… Read more »
