Recently we had the opportunity to explore Pandora- The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (review coming soon!), and while in the Orlando area, we decided to spend a day at Universal Orlando. It has been a couple of years since we visited Universal (long overdue), and even though I am a huge Harry Potter fan and couldn’t wait for a train ride on Hogwart’s Express and an escape from Gringott’s Bank, there was one newly-opened ride I was… Read more »

On our most recent cruise aboard the Disney Wonder, we had the opportunity to dine at the newly-introduced Tiana’s Place. Tiana’s Place is one of three themed restaurants that guests dine in as part of Disney Cruise Line‘s signature rotation dining. It was added during a ship refurbishment just last year. I was really, really excited to try this one out, and I was definitely not disappointed! The theming of Tiana’s Place is perfection. It truly seemed as though we… Read more »

I took my first Disney Cruise nearly eighteen years ago. Since that first sailing, I was hooked. Always a Disney fan, the Disney Cruise Line does not disappoint- making every moment just as magical (and definitely more relaxing) than the parks. Since that first sailing, we have been on many cruise lines (many we have loved), but Disney holds the number one spot for me.     If you are new to cruising, considering your first, or if you are an… Read more »

The holidays are my favorite, and over the years, we have created new traditions that we now treasure. One of our favorite things, as with most, is decorating the Christmas tree. When we moved into our current home a couple of years ago, we needed a bigger tree for our high-ceilinged living room. We purchased a new, taller tree, but my sentimental side longed to keep up the original tree my husband and I purchased together, years before we had… Read more »

Our most recent visit to Walt Disney World included a stay in a studio villa at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. These rooms are a part of the Disney Vacation Club “side” at the Boardwalk, but are definitely not limited to those in the Disney Vacation Club. These rooms can be booked the same as any other and are considered Deluxe Villas. We opted to receive a text when our room was ready and were pleasantly surprised to get the notification shortly… Read more »

Recently, I decided to become a travel agent. It came with much thought and consideration, and in all honesty, I should have pursued this years ago. When asked to describe things I love, traveling is always in the top three. Over the years, I have been fortunate to see many great places and experience many things, but my love for finding new adventures makes me realize just how much of the world is still out there to explore. Nothing can… Read more »

About halfway through our Alaskan cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas, we were fully enjoying our vacation. We had somewhat familiarized ourselves with the ship’s layout and locations, and we had stopped at two fantastic locations in Alaska (Juneau and Skagway). Our fourth day onboard was a day at sea, however, on this particular day we were sailing through the Tracy Arm Fjord. When we first booked our cruise, I was most excited about getting off of the… Read more »

Day three of our Alaskan cruise brought us to the amazingly beautiful Skagway. From the moment I stepped onto the deck of the ship and got a good look at my surroundings, I was in love. The scenery was spectacular. Yes, I realize I have used the words amazing, breathtaking, and spectacular frequently in my posts on our travels to Alaska, but honestly, it is just so true. Our day in Skagway began with a ride through the mountains on… Read more »

The first stop on our Alaskan cruise was in Juneau. Not only was it great to wake up to some beautiful scenery, we were excited for our day’s activities. On this particular stop, our group of eight had differing interests. The guys wanted to go salmon fishing, while others wanted to whale watch. My children would not have enjoyed either or endured the many hours the excursions lasted, so we opted to all go our separate ways and try out… Read more »

On one of our days at sea on our Alaskan cruise, we were all debating on what activities to participate in to fill our morning. My son, now six, quickly announced that he wanted to climb the rock wall. If you have been on a Royal Caribbean ship, then you know how tall the rock walls are (especially for a child). If not, take my word, they are tall. My husband always climbs several times when we cruise and loves… Read more »
