One of my favorite cartoons of all-time is the Smurfs. I am so excited to share my love of the Smurfs with my children when we go see the new Smurfs: The Lost Village movie that releases in theaters nationwide this weekend on April 7!     You can see a preview for the movie here. In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through… Read more »

On our most recent cruise aboard the Disney Wonder, we had the opportunity to dine at the newly-introduced Tiana’s Place. Tiana’s Place is one of three themed restaurants that guests dine in as part of Disney Cruise Line‘s signature rotation dining. It was added during a ship refurbishment just last year. I was really, really excited to try this one out, and I was definitely not disappointed! The theming of Tiana’s Place is perfection. It truly seemed as though we… Read more »

I took my first Disney Cruise nearly eighteen years ago. Since that first sailing, I was hooked. Always a Disney fan, the Disney Cruise Line does not disappoint- making every moment just as magical (and definitely more relaxing) than the parks. Since that first sailing, we have been on many cruise lines (many we have loved), but Disney holds the number one spot for me.     If you are new to cruising, considering your first, or if you are an… Read more »

Today is my 1 year anniversary for this blog! One year ago, I took a leap and committed to starting Mommy, Memories and Mouse Ears and seeing it through.  It has truly been a year of learning, growing and often times, failing. Originally, I had hoped to make it a full year, and I did. Now, I look forward to what is ahead. Though I am not exactly where I had hoped to be, one year in, I look forward… Read more »

There are ducks swimming around the Boathouse at Disney Springs, and they are not Donald, Daisy or those mischievous nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They are Rubba Ducks, the premier rubber duck toys with personality! The Boathouse Restaurant in Disney Springs has aligned with Rubba Ducks, making these themed ducks the only non-Disney item in the Boathouse gift shop.    Rubba Ducks are super cute and are lots of fun to collect or give as gifts. Founded in 1997, Rubba… Read more »

So August is here. I have a serious love/hate relationship with August this year. We have lots of things going on, and lots of changes as well.  I love the month of August because my sweet daughter celebrates her birthday. Parties are always fun. This year she wants a Winnie the Pooh birthday party (no surprise there). I thought this would be the easiest party to buy decorations for ever. Not so. Unless you are having a Winnie the… Read more »

My five year old has had a love for Legos for several years already. He will spend hours constructing one of his many Lego sets, or using pieces to build and design his own amazing creations. When our family decided to plan one last summer getaway before my little man starts Kindergarten, we knew that Legoland Florida was a must-see! We stayed the night before at the Hampton Inn, closest to the park. The hotel was nice and offered our… Read more »

Our family saw Minions this morning. Our overall opinion is that it is good- not great, not awful, just good. There were lots of laughable moments and the minions are as adorable as ever!    The movie tells us the story of minions from the beginning. We follow them as they search for the ultimate villain to follow. Over the course of many centuries, the minions find themselves in an arctic environment with no one to work for. Three minions… Read more »

Sometimes, the words we feel have already been written. Happy 4th of July!
